USA Patriotism! proudly salutes . . .
patriot Craig Morgan's ongoing support of our troops through his performances and other charitable activities. A veteran himself, Craig Morgan spent 11 years in active duty career as a soldier in the US Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 101st Airborne Division. Now, as a country music singer, Craig dedicates time to visiting the troops overseas and raising support here at home. Craig has participated in the annual Holiday USO Tour in Iraq since 2001. This past year (2005), he spent two weeks entertaining the troops with songs with fellow country artists Mark Wills and Keni Thomas. Craig is also a spokesperson for "America Supports You," a nationwide program launched by the Depart of Defense. The program recognizes citizens' support for our military men and women and communicates that support to members of our Armed Forces at home and abroad. Craig headlined the "America Supports You" Kick-off Concert Series at the Pentagon in May of 2005. Teaming up with Jack Daniels, Craig performed and participated in a USO Care Package "Stuffing Party" at Fort Campbell in September 2005 with spouses and members of the 101st Airborne Division. In November 2005, Craig once again joined Jack Daniels and Neal McCoy for a USO Benefit Concert "Toasts To The Troops," held at the BB King Blues Club & Grill in New York. In March 2006, Craig Morgan was the 2006 recipient of the USO Merit Award. The award honors those for their dedication to assisting others through charitable works. Past recipients include Steven Spielberg and Elizabeth Taylor. In Craig Morgan's own words... |
